Serving as President of Triangle2 Resource Development Group, Bruce provides strategic direction for the firm. Triangle2 Resource Development Group is managing $750 Million in capital campaigns and more than 132 annual and endowment campaigns. Bruce is a highly sought after speaker and teacher.

Prior to joining Triangle2 Partners, Bruce served as national Director of Philanthropy and Resource Development for the YMCA of the USA. Bruce and his team secured contributed and sponsorship support on behalf of the YMCA of the USA and the 2,450 YMCAs nationally.

Bruce served as the Chief Development Officer at local YMCAs in St. Louis, Missouri and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During his tenure at the Milwaukee YMCA, over a five-year period, Bruce and his staff team increased the annual campaign from $850,000 to $3.3 million, completed the Strong Futures capital campaign, which totaled $40 million and nearly doubled the association’s endowment. In December 2001, Bruce and his team launched the $100 million New Century comprehensive resource development campaign.

At the YMCA of Greater St. Louis, Bruce and his team launched and completed the Vision 2000 Campaign -- a $40 milllion comprehensive campaign which provided resources for four new YMCAs and support for association-wide renovations.
Bruce began his fundraising career in higher education as director of advancement for Doane College. He then served as director of development for the St. Louis Art Museum.

Bruce has served on the North American YMCA Development Organization (NAYDO) Council and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). He received the YMCAs top fundraising award in 2001 (Eagle Award), which recognizes and defines YMCA fundraising excellence in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Bruce is a musician having studied piano, cello and voice at the Yankton Conservatory of Music. In addition, he is a runner having completed 5 marathons. He and spouse Cathleen have two children Cameron (11) and Taylor (7). Bruce serves as a member of the Buehler YMCA board of directors.

Berglund holds a BA from Doane College, where he majored in communication and human relations, and a MA in Management from Webster University.
