Jon Terry brings to Triangle2 over 12 years of government relations and public policy experience. He most recently served as Deputy Director in the YMCA of the USA’s Government Relations and Policy Department. In addition to serving as the YMCA’s chief lobbyist on Capitol Hill, he helped local YMCAs pursue special appropriations projects. During his tenure, Jon helped over 50 associations secure nearly $20 million in federal funding.

Prior to 1999, Jon served six years as a policy advisor in the office of U.S. Congressman Fred Upton (R-MI). Jon was the Congressman's Senior Legislative Assistant and handled issues related to the Congressman’s role on the House Education Committee along with community revitalization and special funding projects.

Jon is a native of northern Michigan now residing in suburban Washington, D.C., with his wife, Kristen. They have two young sons. He earned his bachelor's degree from Calvin College and is now pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration from George Mason University. Jon currently serves as an elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Arlington, VA.
